Canon UK

Whilst working at Field Day I had the opportunity to work with the Canon brand. Over time I became the lead designer for Canon related designs, sitting in on briefings and checking the work produced by other designers to make sure it fit within the Canon brand. I frequently met with the clients whilst I was redesigning their CRM email templates and style guide which was rolled out throughout the whole of their Europe database.  Layout, typography, and imagery were the key elements when working with this brand. Below you will find examples of those email designs and some editorial work.

The Irritatingly Erotic Adventures Of...

I was approached by Alan Williams after he saw my work online. He was looking for a book cover design for his latest novel that revolved around a slightly overweight man in his late 30s who goes on holiday to Italy and finds his life change forever. The book is fun and full of humour so the book cover reflects that. Using bright colours and playful illustrations to give the reader a clear image of what they will be getting from this book.

Waitrose

Whilst working for Field Day I became the lead designer for all things Waitrose. I worked on a wide range of projects for the client from their Pick Your Own campaign, CRM email redesigns (for myWaitrose, Waitrose.com, and Waitrose Direct), and various look and feel pieces for their magazines. Below you will find a selection of the work I did for them.

The Waitrose CRM email redesign was one of the biggest projects I completed at Field Day. Working with the client and their in-house designers who were in the process of updating the branding for Waitrose, I had to connect all the templates for each department whilst giving each division their own look and feel. This process went on for months with over 200 pod designs being created. Typography and layout were huge factors in this project. The information needed to be digestible and accessible.   

 

 

Party in Your Eye-socket

I co-created an anthology magazine after university with the aim of publishing work from new and unknown writers to help give them a platform to share their work. I worked on all the design related aspects of this project, from the branding, story illustrations, and the design of the magazine itself. We self published the magazine and using social media we were able to get the word out about the project, as well as selling it in various book stores in the UK and a library in the US.

I-DENTITY

I-DENTITY is an urban fashion event that brings urban fashion, music and street food together to give people an alternative to London Fashion Week. I was approached by the client through my website and I was tasked with designing the logo and identity for the event, which included the website, promotional material, logo, and brochures.  

 

 

Censor this D*ck

CTD is an adult activity book that I created and self published last year. I got the idea for the activity book after drawing on a steamed up window as my friend kept turning them into something else. I wanted to create something adults could enjoy during their down time, something that was fun, creative and cheeky. I self published the book and sold it online using social media to connect to my customers. After the success of CTD I created my next adult activity book called Colour that Bulge which revolved around colouring illustrations of various men from Instagram.

DYNA MOTH

Whilst working at Rare Form one of their freelancers approached me to design the front cover for his anthology graphic novel that would bring together various comic book writers and illustrators in the UK. Originally called The Bug the name was changed to Dyna Moth and I was tasked with creating a new character for the cover.

Words & Nosies

Words & Nosies are a Manchester band that wanted artwork creating for their new album. The EP tells the story of love, lust, and heartbreak and I wanted to bring that message across in the artwork. The arrow represents lust, whilst the naked body represents purity and love, whilst the arrow shooting through the heart represents heartache. The bold colours keep the design modern, fresh and from being too heavy.
